VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today the club’s U-16 Residency roster for the 2016-17 United States Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) season. The opening league match for the ‘Caps is on Saturday, September 3 on the road at Sacramento Republic FC.
15 players on the roster are from British Columbia, 14 of whom came through the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League. Eight players on the roster call Alberta home, with seven new players coming in following the recent partnership announcement between Whitecaps FC and the Alberta Soccer Association. Ottawa, Ontario’s Haider Kadhom rounds out the roster.
18 players on the roster have previously been called up to Canadian youth national teams.
Three players return to the U-16 roster from the previous season:
