Lower Island Academy Centre

What her coaches say: "Coming out of the Christmas break, Callum demonstrated a high level of intensity and focus during training. He pushed himself to be better and challenged his teammates to improve their level. The coaching staff appreciated his work ethic because it raised everyone else's level of training.  Callum has a very bright future in the game!"

What his coaches say: "Saryn has fully committed to learning and trying to implement the new concepts we introduce.  Her game technically is expanding each week.  Consequently her decision making is also improving.  Saryn is always determined in practice, shows great intensity yet plays with a smile."

Upper Island Academy Centre

What his coaches say: "Sebastian has shown such dedication to practice in terms of attitude and work ethic that his playing ability has enhanced exponentially.  He now dominates games with a very attacking mindset.  He has a very positive outlook and leads by example.  Great job Sebastian!"

What her coaches say: "Annika has taken massive strides in her development this past year.  Her athleticism has improved which has given her game extra tenacity and endurance.  Coupled with a desire to be constantly involved in the game, Annika is progressing each week and has so much more confidence in possession.  Keep up the awesome attitude!"

What his coaches say: "Domenico brings an infectious work ethic to each and every training session/game that he is involved with in our academy.  He is always striving to be better and is always asking questions on what he can do to improve. He never stops working and his competitive nature is noticeable in whatever he participates in.  He has been involved with our academy from the outset and it is great to see his development in our academy and with TOFC."

What his coaches say: "Amine is a very talented player but he realizes the dedication required to play at a higher level. Amine always pushes himself to the maximum during training session and this month has played at a very good level."

What her coaches say: "Brianna has been working extremely hard in training and her performances have reflected that hard work this month, keep applying yourself during every session."

Northern Academy Centre

Name: Joseph Giesbrecht
What his coaches say: "Joseph entered the Northern Academy in Fall 2016, since then he has been a leading example to all players. His mentality to every training session is a shining example to everyone in the Academy Centre. This approach is also helping with the development of key player habits. A truly fantastic start to winter programming." 
 
Name: Margaret Caffrey
What her coaches say: "Margaret is a long standing member of the Northern Academy Centre. Margaret is improving with each session both from a technical and game understanding standpoint, she is really learning how to train effectively, which has been key to her continued development. A player who encompasses Our All, Our Honour in everything she does."
 
Cariboo Academy Centre
Name: Winter Comeau
What his coaches say: "Winter is making very good strides with each passing phase. A true student of the game, who is desperate for feedback to help him elevate his game to further levels. This kind of mentality is shown in his approach to training. He really gives 100% in everything he does. This for a young member of his training group is a shining example, not only to the older players, but also the younger players in the Cariboo program."
 
Name: Katelyn Winchester
What her coaches say: "Katelyn is a relatively new member of Whitecaps FC programming. Step by step she is developing key fundamentals which is allowing her to become ever more confident with each training session. Its obvious that Katelyn is putting work in away from training which is key to maximizing the Academy Centre environment. Great start to Winter programming."

Okanagan Academy Centre

Name: Ruben Lopes Filho

What his coaches say: "Ruben's has participated in the Vernon school soccer academy as an international student from Mexico. We have been very impressed with Ruben's consistent level of play but it has been his attitude that has really made him stand out. He is always the first onto the field, he always works hard and is wanting to learn and improve every time he steps onto the field. We have enjoyed having Ruben in the program and we wish him all the best when he returns to Mexico."
