Whitecaps FC Residency teams made the short trip across the border to Washington on Saturday, taking on Northwest Division rivals Crossfire Premier.
The U-18s played to a 3-3 draw on the road against Crossfire Premier on Saturday.
Gloire Amanda, Theo Bair, and Noah Verhoeven scored the goals for the ‘Caps.
The team remains in first place in the Northwest Division, 10 points ahead of second place Sacramento Republic FC.
The U-16s fought hard before falling 2-1 to Crossfire.
Whitecaps FC went down in the 20th minute after an own goal, but responded to tie the match in the 59th minute when Anthony Caceres but in a rebound off of a Jose Hernandez shot inside the box.
With 10 minutes to go, Crossfire found a winner off a rebound, volleyed into the net in the six-yard box.
“Disappointing result as we dominated the match and created good goal scoring opportunities,” said U-16 head coach Adam Day. “We need to stay mentally focused when we are on top of games because we are not getting rewarded for our performances. We look forward to challenging each player and the group as a whole to continue improving as we head down the stretch.”
