Whitecaps FC U-14 Residency played the first match of their trip to Sweden on Thursday, taking on local side Älvsjö AIK U-15 in a friendly match ahead of the Lennart Johansson Academy Trophy tournament starting on Friday.

In the end, a hard fought match ended 1-1 between the two sides as the young ‘Caps experienced their first taste of international competition.
Prior to their first match, the boys moved to their hotel which is located next to Friends Arena, host venue for Wednesday Europa League final which Manchester United won 2-0 over Ajax.
