The ‘Caps were on the road in Development Academy action on the weekend, traveling to California to face LA Galaxy and FC Golden State.
U-19
Saturday saw a 2-0 win for the ‘Caps over LA Galaxy.
Jefferson Alade scored early in the first half, and Simon Colyn added the insurance goal early in the second half.
Sunday ended 3-0 in favour of the U-19s against FC Golden State.
Theo Bair netted the first two, and Georges Mukumbilwa rounded out the scoring with a late goal.
U-17
Saturday ended 1-1 for the U-17s vs. the Galaxy.
Damiano Pecile scored on 15 minutes after great work from Chance Carter, who released him in on goal one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
But in the final minute of the match, the Galaxy scored on a header at the back post.
“Overall a very positive performance and result against a top side,” noted U-17 head coach Adam Day. “We knew we had to respond from last week’s disappointment, and we did. I cannot fault the players’ efforts. They gave their all in difficult conditions."
Sunday saw the ‘Caps fall to a 2-1 defeat versus FC Golden State.
Keisean Brooks opened the scoring on 32 minutes, but two goals from the home side in a five-minute span during the second half gave them the win.
U-15
The U-15s had a break from league action, and took the opportunity to travel to Vernon to face Thompson Okanagan FC (TOFC).
In the end, the ‘Caps came away with a 2-0 win courtesy of a great individual effort from Isaac Milambo and an excellent free kick from Brian Ananias.
U-14
The U-14s also traveled to Vernon to face TOFC, winning 2-1.
