Girls Elite BC Super REX earn 3-2 win over TSS Rovers FC Women

The 'Caps Girls Elite BC Super REX team took on a number of familiar faces on Friday, facing the newly founded TSS Rovers FC Women's WPSL squad at Surrey's Newton Athletic Park. The TSS roster features eight graduating 'Caps players (including Tanya Boychuk) and striker Jordyn Huitema, though the latter remained with the 'Caps for this match.

In the end, the 'Caps earned a 3-2 win versus their older counterpart with goals from Huitema, Teni Akindoju, and Andersen Williams

Nine 'Caps will be on their way to Florida next week for the continuation of the Concacaf U-17 Championship tournament, which was postponed following riots in Nicaragua in April. The rest of the tournament will take place June 6 to 12 in Bradenton, Florida, with Canada continuing Group B action against Costa Rica on June 6, and the United States on June 8.

On Saturday TSS Rovers won their WPSL debut 4-2 over THUSC Diamonds, including goals from 'Caps grads Emma Regan and Boychuk.
