Jordyn Huitema added another accolade to her burgeoning soccer career on Wednesday as she was named 2019 Junior Female Athlete of the Year by Sport BC.
The product of the Whitecaps FC and BC Soccer Girls Elite REX program was nominated alongside Richmond’s Camryn Rogers (Athletics) and Cowichan Bay’s Desirae Ridenour (Triathlon).

The 53rd Annual Sport BC Athlete of the Year Awards Ceremony and Gala took place at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in downtown Vancouver and was hosted by CBC’s Scott Russell.
Earlier in the week Huitema dropped the puck for her hometown Chilliwack Chiefs. As a youth soccer player, Huitema played for Chilliwack FC.
