BMO Academy Report: ‘Caps return to action on California road trip

The ‘Caps MLS Academy boys, part of the Whitecaps FC BMO Academy System, returned to Development Academy league action this weekend with a two-match trip to California to face De Anza Force and Sacramento Republic FC.

U-19

The U-19s won 2-0 against De Anza Force on Saturday.

Brandon Cambridge and Simon Colyn scored the goals. Isaac Boehmer secured the clean sheet in net.

On Sunday the ‘Caps won 2-1 versus Sacramento. Matteo de Brienne scored the first, with an own goal giving the ‘Caps their second. Boehmer again had the win in net.

U-17

The U-17s fell 2-0 in their Saturday match against De Anza.

On Sunday they rebounded with a 2-1 win over Sacramento.

After going down 1-0, Keishean Francois and Ante Grgić scored in the comeback victory. Max Anchor earned the win in net.

U-15

The U-15s won 5-1 in their first match against De Anza Force.

Maximilian Comsia scored twice, while Michael Hennessy and Angelo Zhu each tallying once, with an own goal rounding out scoring. Maxwell Campeau earned the win in net.

Sunday ended with a high scoring 4-3 win over Sacramento.

After going down 3-1, the ‘Caps surged back to win. Comsia scored twice, and Hennessy had the other two.

NEXT UP

The U-19s host Pateadores on Saturday, March 12 at the Whitecaps FC National Soccer Development Centre (NSDC) at UBC. The U-17s and U-15s are back on Saturday, March 21, hosting Crossfire Premier at the NSDC.
