  • Connected to the Whitecaps Academy Centre network to provide greater exposure and additional opportunities. 
  • Whitecaps FC are committed to work closely with the VIPL and the BCSPL Island Wave as part of the pathway in forwarding players.

BC Academy Centre - High Potential Prospect (HPP) Program

  • This academy centre is proud to participate in the BC Academy Centre HPP Program which provide's players participating in our regional academy centres the opportunity to represent the club at various event's throughout the year. To read more about this exciting opportunity, click here. 

Notifications

  • Parents are encouraged to check their e-mail prior to leaving for training; we will notify all participants of changes to training schedules via e-mail. 
  • In the event that weather conditions do not allow for training, we will do our best to re-schedule the missed session.

High Potential Prospect event: HPP Challenge - October 13-15 in Vancouver; more details to be distributed at the start of the phase. 

Boys & Girls Pre-Prospects

  • Fridays, 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Goudy Turf, Langford; September 8 to December 3
    • September: 8, 15, 22*, 29*
    • October: 20, 27, 
    • November: 3, 10, 17, 24
    • December: 3*
      • Note: September 22 & 29 will be from 7:00 to 8:30 pm at Goudy Turf.
      • Note: December 3 will be from 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Layritz Turf, Prospect Lake Soccer Club. 
      • No Sessions - October 6 or 13

Girls Prospects: 

  • Fridays, 6:00 to 7:30 pm at Goudy Turf, Langford; September 8 to December 3
    • September: 8, 15, 22*, 29*
    • October: 20, 27,

High Potential Prospect event: HPP Seattle trip - PacNW tournament

Pre-Prospects - U8 to U12 Boys & Girls (2010-2006) - Fridays, 6:00 to 7:30 pm
Girls Prospects - U13 to U18 (2005-2000) - Fridays, 6:00 to 7:30 pm (training time may change to a later time slot, to be determined closer to the start of the phase). 

  • Location: Goudy Field, Langford
    • January: 5, 12, 19, 26
    • February: 2, 9, 16, 23
    • March: 2, 9, 10*
      • March 10 Island Winter Showdown - at Goudy field with Upper island Academy Centre - 6:00 to 7:30 pm.

Fall & Winter - Additional Highlights

  • Selected players will have an opportunity to train in Vancouver
  • Whitecaps FC Vancouver staff will make visits. 

Spring 2018 

  • April to June

Eligibility

  • Players are grouped on ability, and progress. They may be moved to different groups/sessions at staff discretion
  • All players will be pre-screened through the registration process to ensure program suitability
  • Staff reserves the right to refund registration fees if, at any time, the program is deemed not suitable

Evaluation & Registration

All players must be evaluated to participate. Please contact Island Head Coach, Kevin Lindo to arrange for an evaluation. 

​Fall Fees: $275 + tax
​Winter Fees: $275 + tax

  • ​Fees do not include any tournament or travel projects. 

Equipment

  • All NEW players require a WFC training kit and track suit.
  • One-time kit fee, valid for at least two years in cases of style change
  • Mandatory - Training kit (shorts, shirt, socks) - $80 + GST
  • Mandatory - Track suit - $105 + GST
