WEEKLY STORYLINES

CASCADIA RIVALRY: Whitecaps FC 2 continue their six-game away stretch this Sunday, April 21 as they face Cascadia rivals Tacoma Defiance in the first of three meetings between the two sides this season. The young 'Caps last visit to Starfire Sports Complex ended in a thrilling 3-3 regulation draw last September, with forward Lowell Wright bagging the first WFC2 hat-trick in the club's MLS NEXT Pro era.

CAN'T CATCH KACHWELE: WFC2 forward Cyprian Kachwele has made an impressive start to his first season in MLS NEXT Pro. The Tanzanian international, who was called up the African Cup of Nations earlier this year, has scored in each of the last three matches and sits tied with Lowell Wright for the most goals on the team this season. Kachwele was acquired by WFC2 last August from Tanzanian side Azam FC, having come through their youth academy and making his first team debut towards the end of 2023.
