WE MEET AGAIN: Whitecaps FC 2 will look to take a big step towards their 2023 MLS NEXT Pro playoff hopes against St. Louis CITY2 on Saturday, September 9 at the National Soccer Development Centre. The match will mark the second and final meeting of the season between the two teams, with CITY2 claiming a 2-1 victory in April at CITYPARK.
PLAYOFF HUNT: Heading into the weekend's action, Whitecaps FC 2 sit in ninth in the Western Conference with 33 points, five points outside the playoff line behind seventh-placed Houston Dynamo 2, who holds the final playoff spot. A regulation win on Saturday would keep the young 'Caps in contention for a playoff spot, with a clash against sixth-placed San Jose Earthquakes II on the horizon next weekend.
