VANCOUVER, BC – Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) defender Micaah Garnette has been called up to the St. Kitts & Nevis men's national team for the September-October international window. This marks the first time Garnette has received a call-up to St. Kitts & Nevis’ senior side.
St. Kitts & Nevis will play four CONCACAF Nations League matches, starting against Bonaire on Friday, September 25 at 5 p.m. PT at NBG Technical Center in St. Peter's, St. Kitts & Nevis. They continue Nations League play against Grenada on Monday, September 28 at 5 p.m. PT at NBG Technical Center, and then fece Cuba on Friday, October 2 as well as on Monday, October 5 at 2 p.m. at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain in Trinidad and Tobago.
Garnette has started all 23 of his appearances in his first MLS NEXT Pro season, adding two assists. The 23-year-old signed with WFC2 back in February after spending the last three years playing for the University of Portland Pilots, making 43 appearances with two goals and seven assists. Prior to joining the Pilots, Garnette made 18 appearances for St. John’s University in 2021, scoring one goal and adding one assist.
On the international stage, the dual-citizen has represented St. Kitt & Nevis at both the U-17 and U-20 national team levels.
