Swangard Stadium is a world-class multi-purpose stadium in Burnaby, BC, located near beautiful Central Park. The venue has been the site of many memorable soccer moments in the history of Vancouver Whitecaps FC, as the club returns in 2022 as the home for MLS NEXT Pro side Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2).

From 1987 to 1992, the stadium was home to the Vancouver 86ers in the Canadian Soccer League (CSL). The 86ers captured four straight CSL titles from 1988 to 1991, all won at Swangard. During that period the team secured a North American sports record for longest unbeaten streak of 46 games (37 wins and nine draws) from 1988 to 1989.

The club continued to play at Swangard in the APSL, A-League, USL, and USSF D2 Pro leagues from 1993 to 2010.

At the turn of the century, the club returned to the Vancouver Whitecaps name and won four championships. The women’s W-League team were crowned champions in 2004, and in 2006 at Swangard. The men’s USL side also won the title in 2006, and then in 2008 at Swangard.
