VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Friday that the club has mutually agreed to contract terminations for Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) forwards Daniel Ittycheria and Cyprian Kachwele.
Ittycheria, 22, was signed to WFC2 in December after playing collegiately at Princeton University. The forward made 19 starts in 21 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro this season, scoring nine goals and adding one assist.
Kachwele, 21, has concluded his loan at Halifax Wanderers FC after joining the Canadian Premier League (CPL) side in March. With Halifax, Kachwele made 15 CPL appearances, scoring two goals, and one appearance in the TELUS Canadian Championship. The Tanzanian originally joined WFC2 in August 2023 via transfer from Azam FC in his home country. The forward started 25 of his 39 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro, recording 11 goals as well as two assists. He also made one start and three appearances for the first team on short-term agreements.
TRANSACTION: On August 28, 2026, Whitecaps FC 2 agree to mutual contract terminations with forwards Daniel Ittycheria and Cyprian Kachwele.
