VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Wednesday that Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) forward Cyprian Kachwele has been loaned to Canadian Premier League side Halifax Wanderers FC through the 2026 season.
Kachwele, 21, originally joined WFC2 in August 2023 via transfer from Tanzanian side Azam FC. The forward started 25 of his 39 appearances in MLS NEXT Pro, recording 11 goals as well as two assists. He also made one start and three appearances for the first team on short-term agreements.
Prior to making the move to Vancouver, Kachwele came through the Azam FC academy. He then split time between the first team and the U-20 side.
Former Whitecaps FC head coach Vanni Sartini is the current head coach and general manager at Halifax.
