MID-WEEK UNDER THE LIGHTS: Whitecaps FC 2 return to their familiar confines of Swangard Stadium for a mid-week clash against Western Conference rivals Real Monarchs on Thursday, June 15. The young 'Caps, who sit third in the West heading into the week's action, will look to extend their home unbeaten streak to five matches. This season, the team has posted a 4W-1L-1SW-0SL record at Swangard, keeping two clean sheets and scoring 13 goals in the process.

TAKING THE REINS: With head coach Ricardo Clark away from the team this week, assistant coach Brendan Shaw will be taking the reins of head coaching duties for Thursday's match. Shaw, who is currently in his second season with the club, has previously served as an assistant coach of FC Edmonton in the Canadian Premier League and at Simon Fraser University from 2018 to 2020. He was also head coach and academy director at Mountain United FC from 2015 to 2020.
