More than 22,000 tickets sold for Saturday’s Vaisakhi Match, presented by MNP

VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Wednesday that more than 22,000 tickets have been sold for each of the ‘Caps next two home matches, including this Saturday’s Vaisakhi Match presented by MNP. Kickoff on Saturday will be at 7:30 p.m. PT, with tickets available at Ticketmaster.ca. Upgrade your match day experience with a premium suite available at whitecapsfc.com/tickets/premium.

Connect FM will be the entertainment partner for Saturday’s Vaisakhi Match. Starting at 6 p.m. sharp, fans are encouraged to come early and enjoy festivities on Terry Fox Plaza with DJ Unusual before settling in for a pre-match dance act from UBC Bhangra Club and NAAM Bhangra inside BC Place. Halftime will be highlighted by a performance from Surrey-born Canadian-Punjabi star Chani Nattan alongside Inderpal Moga. Chani Nattan and Inderpal Moga were JUNO nominees for the track “COOLIN”, which they performed at the 2025 JUNO Awards. National anthems will be sung by JUNO nominated vocalist Shruti Ramani.

The special edition Whitecaps FC Vaisakhi logo from local artist Anu Chouhan returns, with a scarf and jersey decal available for purchase in-stadium, while supplies last. Inspired by nature, the design reflects growth prosperity and the deep-rooted connection between the land and the Punjabi community. The logo uses traditional Phulkari embroidery style known for its vibrant geometric patterns, while symbolizing resilience, joy, and cultural heritage.

Prior to the match, Whitecaps FC and MNP will be hosting approximately 80 youth from Surrey School district and Surrey FC for a pre-match clinic on the pitch at BC Place. Following the clinic, participants will enjoy an event at the BC Sports Hall of Fame before enjoying the match.

Following Saturday’s match, Whitecaps FC will host the club’s Indigenous Peoples Celebration Match, presented by BMO, on Saturday April 11 against New York City FC. Another big crowd is expected, with remaining tickets available at whitecapsfc.com/tickets.
