Which trophies will the 'Caps compete for in 2026?

Leagues Cup trophy

MLS Supporters' Shield
Like many leagues around the world, the team with the most points at the top of the overall MLS table after 34 regular season matches is awarded a trophy. In MLS, this is the Supporters' Shield.

MLS Cup
Similar to many other North American leagues such as the NHL, NBA, NFL, and MLB, MLS uses a playoff system to crown a champion at the end of the season. Eventually this pits the winner of the Western Conference bracket against the winner of the Eastern Conference bracket in a final akin to the Super Bowl, the MLS Cup final. In 2025, Whitecaps FC won the Western Conference and made the club's first MLS Cup.

Concacaf Champions Cup
Much like the UEFA Champions League in Europe and the Copa Libertadores in South America, the Concacaf Champions Cup is the regional championship between the best clubs from North America, Central America, and the Caribbean. This year, the 'Caps made the final of the Concacaf Champions Cup for the first time. The winner of the tournament qualifies for the next FIFA Club World Cup in 2029.

Voyageurs Cup (TELUS Canadian Championship)
This tournament is the domestic cup for Canada. It includes the three Canadian MLS clubs – Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Toronto FC, and CF Montreal – as well as the eight teams in the Canadian Premier League (CPL), and the semi-pro League1 champions from British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, and Quebec. The winner is awarded the Voyageurs Cup and qualifies for the Concacaf Champions Cup. Whitecaps FC are four-time defending (five total) Canadian champions.

Leagues Cup
A recently created competition, unlike any other in world football, pitting 18 teams qualified from MLS and 18 teams from LIGA MX, the top tier in Mexico. The top three teams in the Leagues Cup qualify for the Concacaf Champions Cup.

Cascadia Cup
A regional trophy created by the supporters of the three Pacific Northwest clubs - Vancouver Whitecaps FC, and their biggest rivals Seattle Sounders FC and Portland Timbers. The trophy is awarded to the team with the most points in MLS regular season matches between the three clubs. Whitecaps FC have the most Cascadia Cup titles with eight.
