VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC midfielder Jeevan Badwal and defender Ralph Priso have been called up to Canada’s men’s national team for the upcoming September-October international window.
The window marks the first meeting for international sides after the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup this summer. The upcoming camp will see Canada play a trio of friendlies. Canada will face Chile on Saturday, September 26, with kickoff at 4 p.m. PT at BMO Field in Toronto, Ontario, followed by a match against Peru on Saturday, October 3, with kickoff at 11 a.m. PT at Stade Saputo in Montréal, Québec. Canada will close the window against the United States on Tuesday, October 6, with kickoff at 5 p.m. PT at Allianz Field in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Badwal earns his second call-up to Canada’s senior team after previously joining the side during their January camp earlier this year. The midfielder has featured 29 times across all competitions this season for Whitecaps FC, making 23 starts and contributing three goals, as well as three assists. Badwal will be looking to earn his first official cap for his country during this window. Before reaching the senior national team, the Surrey, BC native represented Canada at both the U-17 and U-20 levels. He started all three matches for Canada at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup and started all four matches at the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship. The Canadian has started 35 of his 63 appearances for Whitecaps FC, contributing four goals and six assists.
This marks the fourth time Priso receives a call-up to Canada’s senior team, having represented the side during their January, March and June camps earlier this year. The Canadian has made four appearances for the national team, starting two of them. So far this season, Priso has started 11 of his 16 appearances across all competitions for the 'Caps, recording one goal. In his youth, Priso represented Canada at the U-17 level. The defender was a member of Canada’s squad at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil, where he started all three games in the group stage and added an assist. Priso has started 44 of his 82 appearances for Vancouver, scoring two goals and five assists.
Beyond this window, Canada's fall schedule includes the Concacaf Nations League A Quarterfinals in November, where the team has a bye directly into the two-legged, home-and-away tie after finishing third in the 2025-26 competition. The winner advances to the Concacaf Nations League Finals at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in March 2027.

Captain Alphonso Davies is currently unavailable for selection due to the celebration of his marriage and honeymoon. Goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau is currently unavailable for selection due to a personal matter.
