Brett Levis named to USL Team of the Week after first start back from injury

VANCOUVER, BC - It's safe to say Brett Levis is back in full form.

The USL announced the Team of the Week for the final week of the season on Tuesday and thanks to a second half brace versus Austin Aztex last Sunday, the midfielder from Saskatoon finds himself back on the honour list after just his second week back from injury.

Making his first start after missing eight weeks due to a left ankle injury that was initially feared to be season-ending, Levis scored a beauty from long distance to open the scoring versus Austin in the 47th minute. Shortly after, he slotted in another hard-earned goal after winning a duel against an Aztex centre back.

The recognition, his second for the season, is a fitting finish for Levis' brilliant year with Whitecaps FC 2. The fast-rising star closed 2015 with four goals and two assists despite missing two months of action.
