'Caps at College: Girls Elite Academy grads accolades & awards

It has been another tremendous season of graduates from the Whitecaps FC BMO Academy System playing collegiate soccer. Below is a recap of what has been achieved as postseason play heats up.

NCAA

16 recent Girls Elite Academy graduates will be playing in the 2023 NCAA Tournament, starting this Friday, November 10.

U Sports

Trinity Western took home the Canada West title in a thrilling final over UBC. Among the connections on the winning side are former Girls Elite player Bryana Buttar, as well as Whitecaps FC Alberta REX alum Olivia Kranjcec.

On the other side, some of the UBC connections include 'Caps alumni Dani Mosher, Ava Ferreira, and Emma Hooton.

SFU - NCAA DII

SFU qualified for the 2023 Great Northwest Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Championships. Among the Girls Elite connections are Isabella Muzzolini and Mikayla Tupper.

Tupper was honoured as GNAC co-Newcomer of the Year, and All-GNAC Honourable Mention. She and Muzzolini - last year's winner - are the only Red Leafs to win the award.

Muzzolini added more honours this year, being named first team all-GNAC.
