MASSIVE MATCH-UP:
After Wednesday's draw at Houston, Vancouver Whitecaps FC turn their focus to another important Western Conference matchup at BC Place this Saturday, October 2, as San Jose Earthquakes come to town. The match could have plenty of future playoff implications with the 'Caps entering the match one point ahead of San Jose, with a game in hand, and only three points out of the final playoff spot with eight games left - four at home and four on the road. Maximizing points at home will be key during the push to playoffs. The match will also see the 'Caps host Indigenous Night at BC Place, which will have over 500 members from 20 plus nations in attendance.

IN-FORM 'CAPS:
With last Saturday's 1-0 home win over FC Dallas and Wednesday’s draw at Houston, the 'Caps have now won five, tied two and only lost once in their last eight matches in MLS play making them one of the hottest teams in the league. During the stretch, the Blue and White have scored 12 goals and conceded only six goals in the process.

WALL OF QUEBEC:
Goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau has been in fine form for the 'Caps during the final stretch of the season. The product of Candiac, Quebec has been named to the MLS Team of Week three times over the last eight games and has not conceded a goal in the last 242 minutes of play, which includes a dramatic last second game-winning penalty kick save last weekend against FC Dallas. In addition, Crepeau is tied for third in the Western Conference in clean sheets with five, matching his career best in 2019.
