MARBELLA, MÁLAGA – It was a rainy, soggy affair as Vancouver Whitecaps FC played their first friendly of their 2026 preseason camp in Spain on Tuesday against Ukrainian side FC Polissya Zhytomyr at the Marbella Football Center.
Polissya opened the scoring early and added another from the spot in the second half, earning a 2-0 victory in the rain.
The 'Caps will now set their eyes towards their second friendly of preseason, as they face K-League 1 side Incheon United FC on Saturday, January 31 at Estadio Ciudad de la Línea, with kickoff set for 5 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. CET.
