Vancouver Whitecaps FC announce that they have partnered with Scouting Solutions, an online athlete and coach development software program, to create Whitecaps Interactive.
Whitecaps Interactive will initially support the development of the Whitecaps players, teams, coaches and regional partners. Once established within the club, Whitecaps Interactive will extend to provide opportunities for community partners, athletes, coaches and fans.
“As an organization, we want to utilize technology to support the integration of our teams and programs under a true club philosophy,” said Whitecaps director of youth development Dan Lenarduzzi. “Scouting Solutions software will help us to train, educate and communicate with our players and coaches, but also expand our development footprint through the effective use of technology.”
The Whitecaps will work immediately with Scouting Solutions to create a tailored program for the club. The program will focus on a club-wide standardized curriculum, education, training and evaluation, as well as testing and reporting standards for coaches and athletes. In addition, the technology will be used to support the club’s scouting and recruiting programs.
“These tools will improve the communication with our professional and youth players,” said Whitecaps director of professional teams Greg Anderson. “It will allow us to provide daily sports science content and training information to the players, while at the same time, it will enable us to track their participation and performance. The Scouting Solutions online tools will provide us with an easy and effective way to monitor and evaluate potential prospects, both locally and internationally.”
Scouting Solutions has been in operation for eight years with a mission to advance sport development and athlete performance through digital technology.
