VANCOUVER, BC – Winner takes all.
Vancouver Whitecaps FC and rival Seattle Sounders FC renew acquaintances on Wednesday in CONCACAF Champions League play with the top spot in Group F up for grabs (7 p.m. PT at CenturyLink Field – Sportsnet ONE and Sportsnet World).

And here are the different scenarios for Wednesday’s match (keeping in mind that the first tiebreaker is head-to-head):
If Whitecaps FC win:
The ‘Caps will clinch the top spot in the group and advance to the quarter-finals.
If Sounders FC win:
Seattle will clinch the top spot in the group and advance to the quarter-finals.
If there is a draw:
Seattle would be eliminated, while Whitecaps FC would need a draw or win in their final group stage match at CD Olimpia on October 22 to advance.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Following the group stage, the eight remaining teams will be seeded based on their group results, which will determine their opponent in the quarterfinals (also known as the “championship stage.”) The championship stage consists of a two-leg home-and-away series starting in early 2016.
D.C. United are the only team in the 2015-16 edition of the tournament who have already clinched the top spot in their group.
