Concacaf Champions League
Wednesday, March 8 vs. Real CD España (7 p.m. PT)

After capturing a penalty shootout victory against Toronto FC in the Canadian Championship Final last July, the 'Caps secured their spot in Concacaf Champions League, a 16-team, knockout competition to crown the best club in North America, Central America, and the Caribbean, similar to the UEFA Champions League in Europe or the Copa Libertadores in South America.

The winner of the tournament qualifies for the annual FIFA Club World Cup, where they’ll face the top teams from Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceania, and South America.

This year will mark the third time the 'Caps participate in the tournament, which they'll open up with the first leg of the Round of 16 against Honduran side Real CD España on Wednesday, March 8 at BC Place, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. PT.

The clash will mark the first meeting between the 'Caps and Real CD España, with the second leg set to take place the following week on Wednesday, March 15 at Estadio Francisco Morazán in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.
