Recently, Vancouver Whitecaps FC made a donation to the Canadian Red Cross in support of British Columbia wildfires relief.Â
Join and make a donation to the Canadian Red Cross, which will be used to provide assistance to those impacted by the wildfires in British Columbia with immediate and ongoing relief, recovery, and resilience efforts in response to the wildfires, as well as community preparedness and risk reduction for future all-hazard disaster events within British Columbia. Funds will also be used to support mobilization of response and community partners.Â
In addition to the club's donation to the Red Cross, the Whitecaps FC Foundation will donate a portion of the August 22 50/50 proceeds toward supporting community soccer organizations impacted by wildfires across the Cariboo, Okanagan, and Kootenay regions. Â In collaboration with BC Soccer, needs will be assessed and funds distributed later in the Fall. Â Any organizations interested in more details should connect with BC Soccer.
