League1 BC: Girls Elite fall in tight battle with Nautsa’mawt FC

VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite battled valiantly, but ultimately fell 3-2 in a tight match against league-leaders Nautsa’mawt FC at Ken Woods Field on Sunday.

Kierra Blundell scored twice in the first half, with Vanessa Tome scoring one for Nautsa’mawt FC as the 'Caps went into halftime with a 2-1 lead.

In the second half, Whitecaps FC Girls Elite alum Mia Pante scored twice to give Nautsa'mawt a 3-2 lead, which they would not relinquish.

Whitecaps FC Girls Elite are back in action this coming Wednesday, June 14 at home to Unity FC at Ken Woods Field. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. PT
