VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC are set to host Ottawa Fury FC in the second leg of the Amway Canadian Championship semifinal (7 p.m. PT on TSN2).

Whitecaps FC head coach Carl Robinson makes eight changes to his starting XI with only goalkeeper Paolo Tornaghi, centre back Tim Parker, and attacking midfielder Nicolás Mezquida starting last Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat at Ottawa Fury FC. Tonight is the eighth time Robinson has started the three Uruguayans in Techera, Mezquida, and Rivero with a record of 4W-2L-1D.
Of note, 15-year-old WFC2 forward Alphonso Davies gets the start and will make his first-team home debut – Kekuta Manneh, who did not train the last two days, has a minor knock but will be available as a sub.
Last week, Davies was a second-half substitute for Vancouver, becoming the youngest player to appear in a ‘Caps first-team match and the Amway Canadian Championship. Davies, a resident of Edmonton, Alberta, has one goal in eight appearances with WFC2 so far this season.
