As we mentioned earlier this month, Kekuta Manneh is one of 10 up-and-coming talents from around the world that are being featured in adidas’ Backed by Messi campaign, in celebration of Lionel Messi and “his standing as the greatest soccer player to ever grace this planet.”
Manneh, in fact, was featured prominently in Episode 2 of the series, titled “Stepping Up,” which dropped over the weekend. The 21-year-old Whitecaps FC winger discussed “stepping up” to professional soccer from the youth ranks and had some words of praise for Messi himself.
“It’s just like the ball is glued to his feet,” Manneh said.
