Preview: WFC2 take three-game winning streak into St. Louis

Whitecaps FC 2 will look to build on of their three-game winning streak and five-game points streak when they travel across the border to face St. Louis City SC 2 on Saturday. Last time out WFC2 earned a 2-0 win over Earthquakes II at Swangard Stadium with an early goal from Vasco Fry and a late goal from Pedro Vite.

ON THE UP: WFC2 continue to climb the standings, as they currently sit in a playoff spot in the Western Conference standings during this early stage of the MLS NEXT Pro season. The 'Caps are tied for third with St. Louis and can pass them with a win, while they're only two points off of second place North Texas and three points away from first place Houston. They've been unbeaten since dropping their first match of the season in Houston, earning points in five straight and winning three in a row.

MLS PREP: Not only are the players for both teams preparing to earn their shot in MLS, but for St. Louis City SC this is a preparation season for their club as they look forward to their inaugural year in MLS come 2023. They will play in brand new Centene Stadium. With anticipation building, expect a great crowd out to support CITY2 and another big test for WFC2.
