VANCOUVER, BC – Canada Soccer confirmed on Monday that Vancouver Whitecaps FC centre back Ralph Priso has been named to Canada Soccer's Men's National Team's (CANMNT) 32-player training camp roster in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Other Whitecaps FC first team alumni in training camp include goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau, defenders Alphonso Davies, Derek Cornelius, and Richie Laryea, and midfielders Ali Ahmed and Jayden Nelson.

Canada will train in Charlotte through May 29, at which point head coach Jesse Marsch will name Canada's official FIFA World Cup 2026™ roster in a primetime television special airing simultaneously on TSN, CTV, Crave, and RDS at 4 p.m. PT.
Priso, 23, earned two previous call-ups with Canada earlier this year. The native of Toronto, Ontario started the B international match against Guatemala last January and earned his first two official caps – including one start – during the March camp against Iceland and Tunisia, where he sustained a hamstring strain in the first half which sidelined him for just over seven weeks.

Before the injury, Priso started the first five MLS matches, where the team allowed just two goals, as well as making two starts in three appearances in the Concacaf Champions Cup. Last Saturday, he made his return in the second half at San Diego and scored his first goal of the season, his second with the club. Priso leads the team in passing accuracy with 94% (minimum 50 passes) and has recorded a top speed of 35.12 km/h. The centre back, who joined the club as a central midfielder in a trade with the Colorado Rapids in March 2024, has made 40 starts in 75 appearances across all competitions.
Priso has also represented Canada at the Under-17 level, starting in all three matches at the U17 World Cup in 2019 and registered one assist against Angola.
Given player injuries and active club competitions, players will report to camp in line with communications with their respective clubs and medical staffs, with player fitness as the priority, whether reporting in Charlotte or thereafter ahead of the competition period beginning June 7.
“These are the final days before we announce the squad that will represent Canada at a home World Cup, and the excitement in this group is real. We feel the momentum building across our country and we are calm, focused, and ready for this moment."
-Jesse Marsch, MLS Canada Head Coach of the Men’s National Team
Canada's official FIFA World Cup 2026™ squad will be unveiled on May 29, following which the group will travel for pre-tournament send-off matches against Uzbekistan on June 1 on Play Alberta Field at Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton, Alberta and the Republic of Ireland on June 5 at Stade Saputo in Montréal, Québec.
