Rayan Elloumi called up to Tunisia's men's national team for September-October international window

VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Friday that forward Rayan Elloumi has been called up to Tunisia's men's national team for the September-October international window. 

The window marks the first meeting for international sides after the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup this summer. Elloumi was a member of Tunisia's squad at the tournament. 

Tunisia will play two Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches during the window, facing Uganda on Thursday, September 24. Kickoff from Stade Olympique Hammadi-Agrebi in Radès, Tunisia is set for 12 p.m. PT. The group will then finish the window against Botswana on Monday, September 28 with kickoff scheduled for 12 p.m. PT at Botswana National Stadium in Gaborone, Botswana.  

This marks the third time Elloumi has received a call-up to Tunisia's senior side, with whom he's made one start and four appearances to date. Elloumi has also represented Tunisia at the U-23 level, as well as Canada at both the senior and U-18 levels.

A product of Edmonton, Alberta, Elloumi has made seven starts and 30 appearances in his first full season as a member of the first team, scoring three goals.

All-time, Elloumi has made 10 starts and 42 appearances since signing a contract with the first team as a Homegrown player in September 2025. He has recorded five goals and two assists in that span.
