KAMLOOPS, BC
– Who’s next?
Registration is now open for the
Whitecaps FC BMO Kamloops Academy Centre
program’s Fall Phase, which starts on Monday, September 7 and runs until Thursday, November 5 at MacArthur Island Park.
The program is open for motivated boys and girls players from U-9 (2012) to U-18 (2003), and is led by former Vancouver 86ers player and long-time Thompson Rivers University men’s soccer head coach John Antulov.
In his six years in charge of the Whitecaps FC BMO Kamloops Academy, four players have been selected to full-time professional development in Vancouver with the club’s MLS Academy and Girls Elite REX programs – the same program that has helped pave the way for Canadian national team stars such as Alphonso Davies and Jordyn Huitema.
Players will go through fun and competitive training sessions that prioritize the health and safety of all participants in our programs and align with Return-to-Play Phase 1 socially distanced training, allowing for players to remain in their respective club training cohorts. This has been arranged in support of local clubs at Kamloops Youth Soccer and Thompson Okanagan FC to not disrupt their program structures.
Whitecaps FC follow health and safety guidelines set out by local and provincial health authorities, as well as BC Soccer and viaSport, in conjunction with the Vancouver Whitecaps FC medical team.
