VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC look to get back on the winning track and defend home turf when they host Houston Dynamo at BC Place today. Tickets remain available here.

KICKOFF: 3 p.m. PT | TV: TSN1 | RADIO: TSN 1040

Here are three storylines for today's fixture in the always wild, wild West.

WHO WILL STEP UP?

The 'Caps will be without three integral cogs in Costa Ricans Kendall Waston and Christian Bolaños, and Panamanian Blas Pérez, who have joined their respective national sides for the upcoming Copa América Centenario.

The workload in the attack will likely be shouldered by Kekuta Manneh, who's hit his stride as of late, and captain Pedro Morales, who scored the game-winner in the previous meeting versus Houston.

Houston will also be without their leading goal-scorer in Jamaican Giles Barnes, who is Copa-bound as well.

STAYING THE COURSE

It's been an up-and-down season for the 'Caps so far and the challenge would be staying the course despite hitting a road bump in Portland last week.

With veterans like David Ousted, whose next start will be his 100th consecutive in the Blue and White, and the ever-steady Jordan Harvey, the 'Caps should be in good hands.

They are complemented with the dynamic play from NicolĂĄs Mezquida and Cristian Techera, who will get an opportunity to display the explosiveness that caught the league by surprise last year.

THE WOUNDED ANIMAL

They say the most dangerous animal in the woods is the wounded one, and that could very well describe last-place Houston Dynamo.

The Texan side comes in with only three wins in the season, and as a squad in transition after the team parted ways with head coach Owen Coyle earlier this week.

However, they remain a threat, as proven in their wins over two of the best three teams in the West in FC Dallas and Real Salt Lake. They will be led by strikers Will Bruin and Andrew Wenger, who will look to exploit Waston's absence in the middle.

Will they succeed? Don't miss out, be there at BC Place at 3 p.m. today.
