Canada Soccer has announced that three players from the Whitecaps FC BMO Academy have been selected to the men's U-17 national team squad for an upcoming training camp. Canada will play Japan on June 5 and USA on June 7 in Albir, Spain. The roster includes Sahil Deo, Antoine Nehme, and Yuma Tsuji.
Deo was part of the squad that helped Canada qualify for the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup ™ in February, while Tsuji was last called up in November. Nehme earns his first call-up.
This will be the first project for the program following Canada’s qualification for the U-17 World Cup. CANM17 dominated the group stage of the Concacaf U-17 Qualifiers, winning all four matches, outscoring opponents by 26 goals and not conceding a single goal from open play. They now are focused on preparing for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will be played in Qatar in November of this year.
