Another month is in the books for Vancouver Whitecaps FC, which means it’s once again time to vote for the Whitecaps FC Player of the Month, presented by Coldwell Banker.
Here are the nominees for June. Who gets your vote?
Jordan Harvey: Played the full 90 minutes in both of Vancouver’s MLS matches – a 2-1 loss vs. New England Revolution and 3-2 win over Philadelphia Union – as well as their Amway Canadian Championship second-leg victories over Ottawa Fury FC and Toronto FC. Picked up an assist in Wednesday’s Canadian Championship Final.
Andrew Jacobson: A natural midfielder, Jacobson played the full 90 in both of Vancouver’s MLS matches as well as their Amway Canadian Championship second-leg victories over Ottawa and Toronto at centre back. He also scored a goal in Vancouver’s 3-2 win over Philadelphia.
Nicolas Mezquida: Appeared in five of Vancouver’s six matches this month, scoring three goals – a free kick vs. New England that was up for MLS Goal of the Week and a pair of headers in Vancouver’s second-leg Canadian Championship victories over Ottawa and Toronto.
