In accordance with the new order under the British Columbia Public Health Act, masks will be required at all Vancouver Whitecaps FC home matches at BC Place, beginning this Sunday, August 29 against Real Salt Lake. Masks, covering the nose and mouth, must be worn at all times except when you are eating/drinking in your assigned seat.

The new order from the Provincial Health Officer requires that people 12 and older must wear masks in indoor public settings, regardless of vaccination status. BC Place is deemed an indoor venue regardless of the roof position.

The BC Public Health Officer also announced that starting on September 13, proof of COVID-19 vaccination will be required for people attending certain social and recreational settings and events, including Whitecaps FC matches. The club applauds this decision and encourages all eligible British Columbians to get vaccinated. This new order will provide confidence to supporters that those around them are also vaccinated. We are working with our partners at BC Place and will provide more detail when they are available.
