WFC2 announce 2024 MLS NEXT Pro schedule

VANCOUVER, BC – MLS NEXT Pro unveiled the 2024 regular season schedule on Thursday. Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) are set to play their first two home matches at BC Place, with the remainder of home matches slated for Swangard Stadium. Find the complete schedule at whitecapsfc.com/wfc2.

Tickets are available on Universe for $10, and included for Whitecaps FC MLS season members ($140 value). Season members can access their complimentary tickets by using their account number as their access key at checkout. Youth 18 and under get in free at the gate.

SEASON FORMAT

The MLS NEXT Pro season consists of 28 matches (14 home, 14 away) over 30 weeks. Each club will play division opponents three times, with the remaining matches against conference foes.

This season, eight teams will qualify for the playoffs from each conference, with seeds No. 1-4 selecting their opponents in the first round. Playoffs will begin the weekend of October 18.

WFC2 start the season on the road at North Texas SC on Friday, March 15.

BC PLACE

The ‘Caps play their home opener at BC Place versus Real Monarchs on Saturday, March 23, with an 11 a.m. PT kickoff before the first team takes the stage at BC Place against Real Salt Lake at 4:30 p.m. PT.

They will be back at BC Place for another double day on Saturday, March 30 to face Timbers2 at 2 p.m. PT, followed by the MLS match against Portland Timbers at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Tickets to enter BC Place for the WFC2 matches are separate from the tickets for the MLS matches, and all spectators will be required to leave the stadium in-between matches. Capacity for WFC2 matches is limited and on a first come, first serve basis.

SWANGARD STADIUM

The remaining 12 matches are scheduled for Swangard Stadium, starting on Sunday, May 26 against LA Galaxy II, and concluding the home schedule on Saturday, September 21 against Tacoma Defiance.

Decision Day will be played on Sunday, October 6, with WFC2 traveling to Texas to face Houston Dynamo 2.

BROADCAST

The first three matches of the season will all be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, with a combination of MLS Season pass and MLSNEXTPro.com for broadcasts the remainder of the season.
