VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Wednesday that the club has signed Whitecaps FC BMO Academy product Sahil Deo to a Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) contract in MLS NEXT Pro through 2027.

- Played in the Whitecaps FC BMO MLS Academy from 2022 to 2025 after being a part of the Whitecaps FC Pre-Academy
- Seven starts and 19 appearances with WFC2 in MLS NEXT Pro since 2024, with one assist
- Also played with the ‘Caps in League1 BC
- Represented Canada at U-15, U-17, and recently U-20 national team levels
- 2025 MLS NEXT All-Star Game starter
Deo, 17, first joined the Whitecaps FC BMO MLS Academy in 2022 after previously being a part of the Whitecaps FC Pre-Academy.
The academy product signs his first professional contract after making seven starts and 19 appearances with WFC2, with one assist, as an academy player beginning in 2024. The defender also spent time playing on the club’s League1 BC team.
As a member of the Whitecaps FC BMO Academy in 2025, Deo was selected to the MLS NEXT All-Star Game.
At the international level, Deo has represented Canada at the U-15, U-17, and most recently U-20 national team levels.
Prior to joining the ‘Caps, Deo came through Langley United.
