What a run for Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the Concacaf Champions Cup.

The dust on that competition has settled, but the season has only just begun.

Here are the next trophies for your 'Caps to target in 2025.

TELUS CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Whitecaps FC will now look to qualify back into the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup.

The most straightforward path is to win a fourth straight Voyageurs Cup as Canadian Champions.

The 'Caps are currently in the quarterfinals of the tournament, and will look to advance to the semifinals over Winnipeg's Valour FC on July 9 at BC Place after a 2-2 draw in the first leg.

Key dates:

  • July 9 - Quarterfinal second leg vs. Valour FC at BC Place
  • August - Semifinal first leg
  • September - Semifinal second leg
  • October 1 - Final

CASCADIA CUP

The annual three-way competition led by the supporters groups between the three historic clubs in the Pacific Northwest - Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Seattle Sounders FC, and Portland Timbers. The 'Caps currently lead the standings as they look to claim a record-breaking eighth title.

Key dates:

  • June 8 - vs. Seattle Sounders FC at BC Place
  • September 24 - vs. Portland Timbers at BC Place
  • September 27 - @ Seattle Sounders FC at Lumen Field

MLS SUPPORTERS' SHIELD

Like many leagues around the world, the top team in the MLS regular season is also given a trophy - the Supporters' Shield.

Whitecaps FC currently lead the Supporters' Shield standings with 2.13 points per game, but with two less matches played they are currently trailing Philadelphia Union by two points at the top.

Every match counts.

  • September 13 - vs. Philadelphia Union at BC Place
  • October 18 - Decision Day (final day of the regular season) vs. FC Dallas at BC Place

As a North American professional sports league, the playoffs are well known to crown the league champion.
