VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC have clinched a berth in the 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs, the club’s third playoff appearance in five seasons since joining MLS in 2011. Single match playoff tickets will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, October 14.

Current 2015 'Caps Club Members have until this Thursday, October 8 to opt-in and secure their regular seats to all home matches for the MLS Cup Playoffs.

A priority pre-sale for single match playoff tickets will be provided to all 2015 and 2016 'Caps Club Members at 3 p.m. PT this Thursday, October 8.

Whitecaps FC clinched their spot in the 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs with Wednesday's 0-0 draw against FC Dallas. The ‘Caps are currently in third place in the Western Conference and have tied a club record with 50 points. Should Whitecaps FC finish in the top four in the Western Conference, they will host a home MLS playoff match for the first time in club history.

Teams placed third through sixth in the conference will begin the playoffs in the one-match Knockout Round, with third hosting sixth and fourth hosting fifth on either Wednesday, October 28 or Thursday, October 29.

The Conference Semifinals and Conference Championship matches will again be two-game aggregate goal series. The top two teams in each conference will receive a bye to the Conference Semifinals to play the winners of the Knockout Round matches. The first leg of the Conference Semifinals will be played on Sunday, November 1 and the second leg on Sunday, November 8.

Following a FIFA international break, the Conference Championship matches will begin with the first leg on Sunday, November 22 and close out on Sunday, November 29.

Of the two clubs that reach MLS Cup, the team with the better regular season record will host the championship game on Sunday, December 6.

Whitecaps FC previously qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs in 2012 and 2014 – playing in the Knockout Round on both occasions. In their first postseason appearance, the ‘Caps fell 2-1 at eventual MLS Cup champions LA Galaxy. Last year, Whitecaps FC dropped a 2-1 result on the road at FC Dallas.

In their final two regular season matches, Whitecaps FC will have an opportunity to improve their MLS points total for a fifth consecutive season since joining the league in 2011. The club finished with 28 points in the first season, followed by 43 points in 2012, 48 points in 2013, 50 points in 2014, and now 50 points so far this season with two matches remaining.

Whitecaps FC return to BC Place for their regular season finale on Sunday, October 25 against Houston Dynamo. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. PT and tickets are still available.
