With Sunday’s emphatic 5-1 victory over Seattle Sounders FC, Whitecaps FC (18W-8L-7D, 61 points) set new club records for home wins (11) and points (35) in an MLS regular season. The 'Caps have also become only the fourth team in MLS history to record back-to-back 60+ point seasons, joining FC Dallas (2015, 2016), Inter Miami CF (2024, 2025), and Los Angeles FC (2024, 2025).
After victories in each of their four total matches against Seattle and Portland this season, Vancouver has become the first team to achieve a perfect record in the Cascadia Cup since it was launched by supporters in 2004, sweeping their other two Pacific Northwest rivals. Sunday’s 5-1 result also marked the most goals that the ‘Caps have scored against the Sounders in an MLS match.
After scoring his 100th career MLS goal on Wednesday, Brian White scored twice on Sunday to beome the first player in the club's MLS era to hit 100 goals for Whitecaps FC across all competitions.
The win also marked the 124th MLS point for the ‘Caps in head coach Jesper Sørensen’s first two seasons, tying the league record. Sørensen would set a record for success over the first two seasons should the ‘Caps get a win or a draw at Montreal on Decision Day next Saturday, November 7.

As conference leaders, Whitecaps FC will have home field advantage in their Round One Best-of-3 series, and should they advance they would also host both the Conference Semifinals and Conference Final at BC Place, with the potential to host MLS Cup.Â
By finishing the regular season atop the Western Conference, Whitecaps FC have clinched a spot in the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup, the club’s fifth consecutive tournament appearance and seventh overall. The draw for the 62nd edition of the Concacaf Champions Cup will take place on Monday, December 21, with the tournament played between February and June 2027. The ‘Caps will be looking to rekindle their magic from 2025, when the Blue & White made a memorable run to the club’s first ever Concacaf Champions Cup Final.
