VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC and Nikos Overheul, director of recruitment, have mutually agreed to part ways. Overheul first joined the club as a consultant in October 2020 and oversaw the department since February 2021.
“Nikos has been instrumental in improving our recruiting department over the past two plus years,” said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC sporting director. “From using all the player acquisition mechanisms available to retool our first team roster to also helping with the launch of our second team, Nikos deserves a lot of credit. We are very thankful for his tremendous work and wish him all the best in his next endeavour.”
