VANCOUVER, BC – Vancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Friday that goalkeeper Thomas Hasal has been placed on the MLS Season-Ending Injury List.
“Thomas has been managing patellar tendinitis for most of the year with the support of our entire sports performance team," said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC sporting director. "Following a lot of discussion with Thomas, our medical staff, as well as patellar tendinopathy specialists, we’ve collectively made this decision so he can focus on a full recovery. In the coming weeks, he will see an additional specialist to determine his best course of action. We will continue to support Thomas throughout this process."
The Homegrown product of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan recorded three starts across all competitions this season for the first team. In addition, Hasal started four matches for Whitecaps FC 2 (WFC2) in MLS NEXT Pro action.
