Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today the launch of its Network Partner Program, providing clubs and associations across Canada with the opportunity to team up with the ā€˜Caps to grow and develop their soccer operations. Network Partner clubs benefit through technical services, curriculum, coach development, exclusive insider access to events, and developmental pathway opportunities.

ā€œOur club is extremely committed to the development of Canadian players and coaches," said Axel Schuster, Whitecaps FC sporting director. ā€œOur network is already in place coast-to-coast across Canada through our BMO academy centres. This partner program builds on our national footprint, casting a wider net to support the Canadian club system with professional resources for clubs, coaches, and players.ā€

The Whitecaps FC Network Partner Program focuses on supporting the growth and development of clubs, and linking them to the larger network.

ā€œAs a pro club, we will work together with your technical director to maximize professional development opportunities for your players and coaches, helping them reach the highest level they can,ā€ said Emma Humphries, Whitecaps FC director of womenā€™s football development. ā€œAlternatively, if your club doesnā€™t have a technical director, we have the resources to help fill this role either part-time or full-time. Whatever your needs, our club is keen to help your club succeed.ā€

All levels of grassroots soccer clubs and associations in Canada can become a Whitecaps FC Network Partner. Canada Soccer National Youth Club License holders are eligible to be a National Network Partner, providing strategic collaboration for players and coaches on the high-performance pathway.

ā€œAs a Whitecaps FC Network Partner, we work with you in your local community to help grow your club, and nationally you become connected to our larger development network with additional resources and opportunities,ā€ ā€‹added Mike Ayyash, Whitecaps FC BMO Academy Centres director. ā€œThis collaborative approach has been successful in working with clubs and associations across Canada.ā€
