Whitecaps FC Residency host Real Salt Lake AZ at SFU on Friday

VANCOUVER, BC – Whitecaps FC Residency return to USSDA action at home on Friday with a pair of matches against Real Salt Lake AZ Academy at SFU Field 4. The U-18s kick off at 5 p.m. PT, followed by the U-16s at 7:30 p.m. PT. All Residency matches are free to attend.


U-18

The elder ‘Caps Residency team will be looking for their first win of the season against their MLS counterparts.


The U-18s have started with two draws and one defeat so far, including battling to a 2-2 draw last time out against San Diego Surf.


Real Salt Lake AZ U-18s are one of the top sides in the USSDA, qualifying for the national championship last year before falling 3-1 to Chicago Fire. This season, they have gotten off to another hot start, winning all three of their matches so far. They have yet to concede a goal, outscoring opponents 6-0.


U-16

The U-16s currently top the Northwest Division, earning two wins and one draw in their first three matches.


The ‘Caps won both of their matches in California last weekend, outscoring their opponents 6-1. Two goals were scored by Alan Camacho, one from Nicolas Apostol, and a hat-trick in the second game from Alphonso Davies.


Real Salt Lake AZ’s U-16s missed out on the playoffs last season, but they’re undefeated so far this season with two wins and a draw. They have outscored opponents 8-1 so far this season.
