VANCOUVER, BC āāÆVancouver Whitecaps FC confirmed on Saturday that forward Yadaly Diaby has been called up to Guinea's men's national team for the September-October international window.Ā
The window marks the first meeting for international sides after the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup this summer.
Guinea will play a pair of Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches during the window, facing South Africa on Saturday, September 26 at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. Kickoff is set for 9 a.m. PT. Guinea will then wrap up the window with a home match against Kenya on Thursday, October 1, with kickoff scheduled for 9 a.m. PT at Stade du 28 September in Conakry, Guinea.Ā Ā
Diaby has started four of his 11 appearances for Guinea in FIFA World Cup Qualifying, Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying, and friendly competition. He netted his first international goal and assist in a 2-0 victory over Liberia last November.
The dynamic winger, who joined Vancouver in August 2026 via transfer from French side Grenoble Foot 38, has made one start and four appearances so far with Whitecaps FC.
