Career Summary

PROFILE
A former member of Toronto FC Academy, fullback Jordan Haynes joined Whitecaps FC Residency in 2011 after playing his entire youth soccer career in Ontario. Haynes was one of the first three players signed to the Whitecaps FC 2 roster on February 17, 2015.

UNITED SOCCER LEAGUE
2016:
Haynes started three of his 14 regular season appearances, scoring one goal - his first as a professional - in a 3-1 win over Timbers 2. He made two starts at left back and one in the midfield. 2015: Haynes started in 14 of his 16 appearances for Whitecaps FC 2, playing 1,198 minutes. His versatility was valuable to the team, spending most of his time in the backline while also making two starts in the midfield.

UNITED STATES SOCCER DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY
2012-13:
The Peterborough, Ontario native started 21 of the 30 games he played for Whitecaps FC U-18 Residency, scoring four goals on the season, including one of the five that beat Houston Dynamo by a final score of 5-2 on June 25, 2013. 2011-12: Haynes started 10 of the 14 games he played for Whitecaps FC U-16 Residency, while scoring three goals on the season, including the game-winner against San Jose Earthquakes on March 3, 2012 in a 3-0 shutout victory.

INTERNATIONAL
U-17:
In October 2013, Haynes was named and called up to the Canadian U-17 FIFA World Cup roster to participate in the competition from October 17 to November 8. He made three appearances for Team Canada at the 2013 CONCACAF U-17 Championships. Haynes scored a timely goal in the semi-final versus Honduras with one minute remaining in extra time to tie the match at 2-2, sending the game to a shootout; he converted his kick from the spot and Canada went on to win the shootout 4-2 and were crowned third place. In 2012 Haynes was called up to the Canadian U-17 men’s national team. U-15: In 2011, Haynes was called up to the Canadian U-15 men's national team.

TORONTO FC ACADEMY
2011:
At the start of 2011, Haynes played with Toronto FC Academy U-17 in the Canadian Soccer League (CSL) before moving to British Columbia to join Whitecaps FC Residency.

YOUTH/AMATEUR
Haynes started out with Peterborough City in the Central East Soccer League in Ontario in 2005. In 2007, Haynes switched to Whitby Iroquois in the Central Soccer League before heading to Ajax Thunder in the Ontario Youth Soccer League in 2009. Haynes has represented the Ontario Provincial Team at U-14, U-15 and U-16 levels. Personal and team achievements include captaining his team in the Danone Nations Cup at U-12, winning the Ontario Cup at U-14 level, and clinching a silver medal in the national championships in both U-14 and U-15.

PERSONAL
Haynes has both a Canadian and British passport and attends Burnaby Central Secondary School.

INTERESTING FACTS
Haynes’ favourite team is Arsenal and his favourite players are Gareth Bale and Theo Walcott. His dream stadium to play at is Emirates Stadium. Haynes joined Whitecaps FC because “they are the best team in Canada” and his pre-game ritual consists of praying and getting ready the same way every time. When it comes to food, Haynes favourite dish is pasta al forno.
