A forward from Edmonton, Alberta who previously played at FC Edmonton Academy, Jose Hernandez joined Whitecaps FC Residency in August 2016.

 

DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY
2017-18: Hernandez started in 21 of his 28 regular season appearances and registered 22 goals for Whitecaps FC U-19. He started in four of five playoff matches and helped the U-19's reach the semi-final stage of the competition. 2016-2017: Hernandez appeared in 26 matches for Whitecaps FC U-16 featured in the start XI on 23 occasions. The forward enjoyed a very productive season notching 19 goals for the club.  In their run to the final four Hernandez started all six matches, while scoring five goals.

 

INTERNATIONAL 
2017: 
Hernandez competed in the CONCACAF U-17 Championship under coach Paul Stalteri. He made his debut in a group stage match against Cuba entering as a sub in the 59th minute. 2016: Hernandez was invited to the Canadian U-17 men's evaluation camp in Vaughn Ontario, as well as the U-17 series in Jamaica. 2014: Made his debut in the Canadian youth program at the U-15 identification camp under coach Ante Jazic.
